NFL TOP 5 IN EACH CONFERENCE....

Tonight as da bar opens we look to discuss who you think are the top 5 teams in each NFL conference.  I have listed mine below and I think you may be slightly surprised.

HERE WE GOOO.....

NFC

1. New Orleans Saints:  Drew Brees is playing almost as good as Aaron Rodgers and has some better stats.  The key difference though is the Saints Defense.  They are playing outstanding right now and Greg Williams has done a very good job getting the D to create turnovers and that separates them from the Pack...
2.  Green Bay Packers:  Aaron Rodgers is still playing some of the best football anyone of us has seen.  That Defense is suspect though and now with a depleted O-line they will have a hard time protecting their greatest asset.
3. San Francisco 49ers:  After dismantling the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football the niners showed the whole league they may actually be for real...it is going to be tough on anyone to beat that defense..
4.  Dallas Cowboys:  Tony Romo is playing at an elite level and now everyone is wondering...When does the real Tony Romo show up? If Felix Jones can stay healthy this is the NFC team to watch.
5.  Detroit Lions:  Matthew Staffords finger is healthy and they are getting Kevin Smith back.  The boy named Suh needs to behave and return to his '10 dominance if they want to go anywhere.  They can score with anyone but in the end their much improved D needs Suh to be the star he most certainly is.

AFC

1.  Baltimore Ravens:  They are still try most balanced and potent team when clicking on all cylinders.  Their issue now is to learn how to handle success better and be consistent.  That's what the cornerstone organizations in the AFC (Pats and Steelers) do better than them currently.  With Ray Rice and that Defense, if the Ravens can hold on to home field they will be very tough to beat.
2.  Pittsburgh Steelers:  Yes they got beat bad Monday night but again, balance is key.  With a healthy Big Ben ( which he will be after the cush end of the season schedule) the Steelers are as fierce as they are every year.  With James Harrison returning and Antonio Brown/Mike Wallace forming white the offensive duo, the Steelers could be marching to Indy with the right breaks.
3.  New England Patriots:  Tammy Brady is in the zone, but unfortunately the Pats D is horrendous.  They can't stop anyone on Defense and if they run in to a team whose offense can keep Tammy off the field they don't stand a chance.
4.  Houston Texans:  With Andre Johnson back healthy this team would be ranked number 1 if Schaub were at QB.  Tyler Yates isn't going to lead them to a deep playoff run.  They will need to step away from their typical air assault and let Arian Foster and Ben Tate carry the load.  Their defense is much improved and playing pretty well.
5.  Denver Broncos:  There was no way to go through this with out mentioning Tebow...They are a legitimate playoff team just not one that will go deep.  The defense is strong but against a top rated offense, the Broncos and Tebow just can't keep up.

What do you think?  Who do rank where?  Lets hear it barmates....

Bring your friends...let them know about our place here..
